ResourcesUnderlying our creeds and catechism is the belief that there are certain essential teachings of the Christian Church that we need to assent to in order to mature in faith. Our lives, attitudes, beliefs, and actions are to be shaped by the Apostolic teaching contained in the Scriptures and tradition of the Church.
Our faith should shape our priorities and choices both personally and as a Christian community. This doesn’t mean we are without questions! It means, rather, that education should be an expectation for us all. Anglicans have long sought a balanced witness to Scripture, church tradition, and sound learning. It is our way in which we strive to love God with all our heart, soul, strength and mind (Luke 10:27).
