Our vision is to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ and help people grow spiritually by developing a community where individual differences and opinions are respected.
The Anglican Parish of St John in Olds began in 1894. For the past 125 years we have been, and continue to be, a church family working together to share with others God’s love and the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ, sharing our time, talents and treasure.
In order to participate in the mission of God to God’s own creation, we share in word and action the good news of God in Jesus Christ. Proclamation requires us to be willing to let our community and individual lives bear witness to the faith that is within us. It is a response of thankfulness and hope to God’s love towards us. Sharing personally is best done in the diverse relationships and friendships we already have. There are also appropriate times and places when we should share our faith with others. At those times we are called to be genuine and open. And there are many ways in which our faith is reflected in our words and actions.
